Murray pleased to win in Valencia after injury layoff - Ultralieve ProAndy Murray was delighted to seal his sixth title of the year by defeating Mikhail Youzhny in the final of the Valencia Open on Sunday (November 8th).

Having recently spent six weeks on the sidelines due to tendonitis in his left wrist, the British number one looked close to his best during the 6-3, 6-2 win in Spain.

Murray broke his Russian opponent's serve early in the opening set and went on to secure a comprehensive victory.

"It's very, very rare for someone to win a tournament after a long break. I am just happy I managed to come back from the injury well and played better with every match," the 22-year-old said afterwards.

Murray was the top seed at the Valencia Open and defeated Leonardo Mayer, Albert Montanes and home favourite Fernando Verdasco on his route to the final.

The Scot is not the only tennis star to suffer sports injury problems recently, with world number ten Robin Soderling withdrawing from the tournament in Spain last week due to tennis elbow.

Both tendonitis and tennis elbow can be treated with ultrasound, which is able to reduce trigger point pain and accelerate healing.
