India concern at injury list
1/2/2010
India faces an injury crisis as its cricket team faces up to South Africa for the first of two Tests between the leading-ranked sides in the world.Star players Yuvraj Singh, Shanthakumaran Sreesanth and Rahul Dravid will be missing for the first Test at Nagpur, which will begin next Saturday (February 6th).
Dravid suffered a broken jaw in the recent series in Bangladesh, while Yuvraj has a wrist injury and Sreesanth suffered a hamstring strain while playing against the Bengalis.
However, VVS Laxman is back in the side after suffering a hand injury, while three uncapped players have been added to the squad.
Those suffering from a strain injury to the wrist or hamstring may find that ultrasound treatment aids the problem.
South Africa travel to India without major injury worries but with some administrative concerns after the coach Micky Arthur quit and the selection panel resigned en masse last week.
