Could ultrasound help Fiorentina's Alessandro Gamberini?

Ultrasound could be of use to Fiorentina central defender Alessandro Gamberini, who suffered a hamstring injury last night.Online resource Goal.com notes that the central defender may be out of action "for some time" after the 28-year-old Italian international limped to the sidelines after around 33 minutes of play.
While the player may take some solace from the fact that Fiorentina beat Debrecen by five goals to two in their Champions League match, he may wish to concentrate on ways to improve the healing of his muscle tear.
Quoting a statement on the Fiorentina website, Goal.com said: "Gamberini suffered a tear of the biceps femoris muscle ... Scans will be performed tomorrow to assess the extent of the damage and the prognosis of this injury."
Ultralieve, the handheld ultrsound device, can promote healing via the stimulation of soft tissue by penetrating the surface of the skin and increasing the flow of blood to inflamed areas.
